About Me...
I was born and raised in Southern California. I attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and I graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology and Alcohol & Drug Studies. I met my husband, Mr. Armijo, a year after I graduated. That same year, I started substitute teaching and coaching sports (volleyball, softball, basketball) at the same high school where he taught. After we were married, we both graduated from University of La Verne with our Master's in Education. In 2008, I left Charter Oak to teach Health & Psychology full time at Artesia High School in Lakewood, CA. We moved to Utah in the summer of 2012 to be closer to family and to enjoy all the nature and beauty this state has to offer. We found Spectrum a few weeks after we moved here, and realized very quickly that it was was our calling. 2018-2019 is my 7th year teaching at Spectrum! We have two beautiful children - Zachary, age 8 and Cooper, age 6. I love to cook, sew, camp, hike, travel, dance, watch sports, & go to sporting events and concerts. I love the Lakers and the Dodgers!
